Now, I'm no blogging pro, or actually I like to think I am, but how on earth can EVERY blog win this award? Doesn't that make the award a little meaningless for all the winners? And how does this website have time to visit EVERY blog and place the award in the corner? Further, how do they know it is the cutest blog on the block? Are they checking Google Earth and then cross checking it with registered blogs? So pathetic. I hope I never win this award.

Abe just for you I've removed my "cutest blog on the block" award :)
Um, Abe... maybe you already know this, but it's the company that has the blog templates/backgrounds, etc. However, I DO wish I had the cutest blog on the block. Heck, I just want to win an award!
So the company that has the blog templates and backgrounds is the same one that is giving out all the awards!?! That hardly seems fair. They probably only give the awards to the blogs that use their templates. NO WONDER I HAVEN'T WON YET!
It's just like every other award they give in abundance.....like stickers in school, or tropheys for being on the team.
Just today I checked out National Wildlife Federation (Ranger Rick's place) because you can register your home as a Certified Wildlife Habitat IF you have water for animals, food for animals, nesting boxes, berries or nuts, shelter and protection, etc. I was very excited because I certainly qualified. But, then I realized I had to pay $15 for the award, and $25 more for a cheezy tin sign I could post for everyone to see. So, I decided I didn't need that award. (Would I have taken it if it were free? Ya, probably....so I'm a bit of a hypocrite, I guess. Or maybe just a cheapskate!)
Wow Margaret - sounds like a bit of a rip off. If you have to pay for any award at all, it is no longer an "award" but a "burden". I think that is one reason I hate scouting so much. Here - do all this nice stuff for others and then go pay $50 for a bunch of patches to prove it.
It is nice that you are helping animals though. Maybe I can make up an award for you?
Actually...yeah, what Tyler and Lyndsay said. I don't think it's an "award" at all. It's the company giving themselves an ad spot on your blog because you used one of their backgrounds.
Your day is coming, Abe! I'm sure it won't be long until you're discovered and somehow rewarded for your supreme blogging talents.
