Yo-Yo imposter and my goofy son.

Well, I am not really in the mood to write today, so I thought I would share two funny videos.

I am not sure if this first video is funny to anyone else but me. I guess we'll see. It is proof that my son is a total goofball.

This second video is one my brother shared. Apparently, this guy has been making the rounds back east, fooling morning show after morning show into believing that he is a yo-yo master. This video brought hearty laughter tears to my eyes. If you are interested in this hilarious guy's visits to other stations, click here.

OHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUS! That was somethin! First of all, was that guy drunk? I mean the yo-yo guy, not your son. I think he was gonna cry! And the way he kept rubbing his knee... and pondering his life choices... "I don't have the muscle memory..." HA! It was almost sad.

And, I can't believe you don't know if anyone else would think your son's video was funny. That kid has the MOVES, man! I love the storage-container-on-the-head. I am pretty sure it will be sweeping the nation, and my kids will be doing it by Friday in class. Can't wait. Thank him for me.

Ha! that is so funny. I was in the same mood, too, hence the youtube at my place.

Must be in the air... (-:

Your son is so cute!!! Dance parties are the best. I've had some great times with my kindergarteners at the end of the school year playing music and dancing with them :)

PS. I love your note of keeping comments PG-13 or lower. Why would anyone else not do that? :O

Oh my goodness!!! Your son's got some moves!
And the yo yo guy. I think he was making it up from the get-go!

I know what you mean by not being in the mood to write sometimes which is why videos can be a saving grace! You, however, are ALWAYS funny so you must feel that you have to be a comedian every time you post! I cannot imagine your 1st graders being serious in the classroom but I'm sure you have a serious side too or else your little ones would be laughing constantly!
Thanks for following my blog and for wishing you could have a Jenny in your life! I don't blame you for having a crush on Jenny because she clearly makes her puglets a priority....plus, Jenny is very good at driving that bicycle all around town!

Wonder where he got those genes, Dad! :) What a cutie!

WOW I so wish we could bottle the energy of your son and sell it. I would be the first to buy it for sure.
As for the second video, sadly, it's what they call a major fail. Poor guy, you can tell he knew it too and is wishing no one has it on tape....

Rats, and I missed his act here in Arkansas!

Also, you think he may have gotten a floor burn on his knee? He kept rubbing it there at the end...

I used to be able to walk the dog pretty badly. Sucks knowing i missed my shot a stardom 'cause this guy took it. Funny stuff.

One might wonder where your boy gets it from…then I think of his dad.

Thanks for sharing.

You son must get his free spirit from his dad. He was a dancing star!

Your son is adorable...and has better moves than my ex did...heehee. The other dude...OMG, I'd be laughing hysterically if I was a fly on the wall listening to what the morning show folks had to say after he left! Bwaaahaahaa!!

oh I miss those buckethead days!!! What a cutiepatootie!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I look forward to getting to know a fellow 1st grade teacher better!

That boy of yours is just super, super cute. Whenever I see that sort of joyful child fun, it makes me sigh and miss those days so very much.

Okay, that other guy? So full of the awkward, I was wincing. He is a total goober. What fun!

And dude, did you realize? You're getting really close to the big 200. I can NOT wait for this. How do you know Burt Reynolds? Don't tell me he's your grandpa or something.

Your son is a cutie! I just love that goofiness.

Your son was AMAZING! I was laughing my butt off! The yo-yo guy....loser. Actually, he seems mentally ill. But I did think it was funny when he fell over. It's always funny when mentally ill people fall over. Happens around here all the time.

He is adorable and yes it's very funny! I'm mystified by the music though, I swear they were chanting "gummy bear" or something in that song. Ha ha!

1st video: apple never falls far from the tree, huh? ;-) He's got some great moves. Is that your cd?

2nd video: SO glad you gave us a little background. I would have been feeling very uncomfortable for him, but instead got a good morning laughter cry. Thanks!

I don't feel like writing either, wonder if I could convince my kids to do something to record...

HAHA. These were funny. About the Yo-Yo guy, his act was a crash landing. I couldn't stop laughing!

And you son. He's got great moves. The box on the head act was cute. When I was a kid, I ran around with Tupperware on my head. It was my gladiator uniform... hehe

Have a good day!

Your son is so precious!!! Love that kiddo dancing!

Yo-yo guy is just weird. I can't believe the producers didn't check him out first!!! Embarrassing!

Oh, your son is adorable!! My son loves wearing containers on his head too. I also love how your other son was sitting quietly on the side like he couldn't be bothered.

Yo Yo guy - I swear my 6 year old did the same routine the other day...

Your son is a goofball, but an adorable one. My favorite part is when he grabs the rubbermaid and puts it on his head. I'd say that's a keeper to show his future wife one day.

Connie said...

Oh my!!! Your son's video made me laugh out loud. My husband came in from the other room to see what was so funny! Give your son 8 yo-yos. I'm sure his clean landing would be better than K-Strass!(or whatever muscle memory loss's name is)

Thanks for the laugh this morning!

Ha, ok I found that video hilarious. I need to get the gummy bear song. ASAP.

I had a friend in high school who was one of those yo-yo types. Had some sort of sponsorship from Japan and thought he was super cool. But, it actually was pretty cool, so I guess it was ok that he thought that.

Your son's dance reminded me of how my son used to dance!

I can't believe that yo yo guy. He was awful and corny and such a sham. lol

Your son is so cute!

But the yo yo guy is, how shall I put this politely, mentally off kilter.

Twice divorced? Really, yo yo man?

Robin said...

Your son is a riot..I wish I had all of his energy...he reminds me of when mine were little..everyday was a dance video...he is adorable...

You know how I can get a hold of yo-yo guy? I think I would like to hire him for my next party.

Lisa Loo said...

Love it. When all else fails--go for the bucket/lampshade on the head. Words and moves to live by. I would expect nothing less from your posterity.
