I sent my husband to Costco about 15 minutes ago because I am not up to the senior citizens and their terroristic ways of getting to the free samples first. Let him chance his life. I'm not that brave.
Somehow I am not surprised. I'd tell you to look for my Aunt Gladys, but she doesn't work there anymore. She used to be one of the little old ladies handing out free samples at the Costco near you. You probably met her and didn't even know it.
We don't have a Costco either around here, but we do have a Sams. Sadly, I don't belong to it either. I found out a long time ago that if I bought food in bulk, the family will eat it in bulk. So much for trying to save some money...
I think you swapped "Waiting in Line" and "Free Samples." For the love...I waited for TWENTY SIX MINUTES the last time! It so wasn't worth the "veggie meatball" sample.
Yeah for Costco! We have one about thirty minutes away-- but frankly, the commissary is cheaper. I do, however, love to visit Costco when I go to Utah County to visit family. And if you go at lunchtime and get all the samples, you don't have to buy lunch!
hahaha, that is awesome! You are really advanced with those graphics-will you present this at a multi-level-marketing party I'm hosting in Utah County? It's an opportunity of a lifetime. If people could see how they really spend their time at Costco, then they would totally want to sell timeshares for me :)
We do the Sam's club thing but they have stopped a lot of the free food. My kid used to enjoy walking through there and having lunch! Nice Chart! W.C.C.
Your Costco still gives out free samples? Wow! The economic crisis in Vegas has severely affected the free samples at our Costco and Sam's Club. I am jealous!!!
I usually spend 50% of my time quoting the Simpsons episode where Marge takes Apu shopping at Monstromart, 50% feeling small and insignificant next to all the jumbo products, and 1% shopping.*
Funny! It's the same at Sam's Club. It's either a good thing or a bad thing to go hungry to Sam's. Do you really want to eat all that crap? Yes? Okay. Then it's a good thing!

I am feeling SO cheated. We don't have a Costco and I really like hot dogs. Especially free ones.
Ha! you know what makes that so funny? My chart would look exactly like that. I spend the majority of time looking for the food.
Oh, that was good...
I just got home from there and it's sooo true! Thanks for the giggle.

Rock on! The free food is the best thing about Costco!!
Time well spent!
So sad we don't have a Costco here. That's my kind of chart.
that is exactly how mine looks if I take my kids with me... if I go alone I can usually skip the food court and the handouts.
CostCo is my nearest grocery store - but we can never just pop in for one thing... $100 later...

most people go there at lunchtime and just eat the samples for 30 minutes.
Love those samples!
I have never been to a Costco. I don't think we have them here. I also didn't know you could get free hotdogs!
I love your pie charts. Mmmm. Pie. Wait, what was I saying? Right. Your pie charts. This one is spot on for at least 89% of people who go to costco.

Ha! This is brilliant, Cheeseboy, and it transpires we have the same Costco habits - free food! :D
Are you sure you aren't my husband!
Don, is this you, just pretending to be Cheese?
Come home.
Mary
We don't have Costco, we have Sam's Club... Same activities! LOL
I love pie charts. We don't have a Costco, but from what I hear this sounds pretty accurate for most.
I think you swapped "Waiting in Line" and "Free Samples." For the love...I waited for TWENTY SIX MINUTES the last time! It so wasn't worth the "veggie meatball" sample.
Brilliant!
i cant go to Costco, as I end up buying too much crap and then we have to place to put it.
But the prospect of free food is causing me to reconsider!
you just described my hubs! ha ha. seriously!
That pie graph is so accurate! I almost thought you were talking about me. :D

Abe, I'm totally with you on the free food… I see now why were friends.
Cute! Looks pretty accurate to me.
Wow, my hubby has the same statistics.
Amazing.
Sam's Club is the same way! Although I'd add a slice and call it "Navigating around slow people with overflowing carts."
You guys live so close to Costco you could actually go there for lunch and dinner everyday and never pay for food again!
Now there's an idea for a hit blog...
"365 days of eating at Costco". Maybe you could even make a made for TV movie about it in the end!
Too funny!! I'd have to add a slice for lifting the 50lb jar of green Olives onto my cart thingy.
And now...i want a hot dog!
We don't have a Costco here, so I'm only going off what I've seen on American sitcoms.
In which case, my graph would be like 100% for "Finding that desk you always wanted".. actually 50% for that and 50% for "buying diapers"
Actually I lie, I think we do have a costco here now. It's in the city though and I've never been there.

Your pie chart is scarily accurate!

When my husband and I were poor newlyweds, we would often go to Costco for a date.
Never go on Saturday. I usually get in fights w/all the zoobies if I do.
Your graphs are extraordinary! You should definitely specialize as a math teacher ... or maybe economics! And I love the primary colors. =)
If its free - Its for ME !!
HA! Looks like we have the same Costco habits. Now that is time well spent!
Freaking Genius!
I drop by Costco around noon everyday just to have lunch. Good thing there's one close to my work.
xoRobyn
I've no idea what Costco is, but it must be great if they give free food.
Your Costco still gives out free samples? Wow! The economic crisis in Vegas has severely affected the free samples at our Costco and Sam's Club. I am jealous!!!
I'd like to see your wife's companion chart!
Your chart looks like my husbands!
That shopping time is really cutting into your free food time. You ought to do something about that.
I usually spend 50% of my time quoting the Simpsons episode where Marge takes Apu shopping at Monstromart, 50% feeling small and insignificant next to all the jumbo products, and 1% shopping.*
*1% margin of error.
Costo dogs are seriously the best!
Funny! It's the same at Sam's Club. It's either a good thing or a bad thing to go hungry to Sam's. Do you really want to eat all that crap? Yes? Okay. Then it's a good thing!
The only reason I go to Sam's Club is for the samples. It's a free lunch!
I'm gonna have to get me one of those Costco memberships!
Is it wrong to go to Costco for lunch when "lunch" are the samples?? Hm, who knew?
Oh so true! But isn't the free food the reason to have a costco membership?
Free food? Costco has free food? Oklahoma needs one ... immediately! I would drop my kids off there daily.
