1st Grade Christmas Program VIDEO #4 - Must Be Santa RAP!

Immediately following my best (or worst) Bruce Springsteen impersonation, I grabbed a clock and a hat and became "Abey Flave" for this rap with the kids.

The best part of this song for me was seeing the other first grade teachers dress up as rappers, dance and chest bump each other.  You can see them on the very left hand side.  Too funny.

And while I am mentioning the other teachers, just let me say that this program was a success because of them as much as it was because of me.  They are awesome.  I work with some really cool ladies.  Clearly, they were willing to dress up as rappers and chest bump each other.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SEEN THE OTHER VIDEOS FROM THIS PROGRAM, THEY ARE BELOW.  TRUST ME, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU WATCH THEM.

And now, without further ado, I give you the first graders and Abey Flave doing the Must Be Santa Rap.

Ha! They just get better and better. Love the Flavor Flav clock. I hope you don't have an STD and a head injury too.

I'll bet some of the grandparents there were like, "What the…" and parents were like 'Oh, yeah…"

Rock on, Abe…you did a great job. I loved how the other teachers got into it as well. Why can't we teach at the same school?

That was a really catchy tune. I almost got up and started chest butting myself. Those kids are ONLY first graders? That's a lot of words for them to memorize (for this one alone). Shows what a great teacher can influence kids to do. Good thing you're such a positive, fun influence. xo

Awesomeness.

I think next year you should teach 4th grade in AZ.

I'll let you use my pool.

Cheese,
I've been out of the loop this week and this is the first time I've had to sit down and check out your other videos. Pure Cheeseboy brilliance. We need more first grade teachers who can rock like you.

By the way, a few years back, my husband was Flava Flav for Halloween and I was Brigitte Nielsen. It was awesome.

In a little while, I'm going to have a post up and I will be pimping this out.

See,why couldn't my kids go to a school like this! This would have been worth hauling my butt down to the school on a Tuesday night when all I wanted to do was watch reruns of Glee!

I really think you are the best teacher ever : ) Seriously. So cool and fun! I can't even take it!

Jason, as himself said...

You probably hear this every single day, because I do, but I'll say it to you anyway:

"It's so great to have a male teacher in first grade! Kids need the positive male role model so much!"

That's what popped into my head as I watched you rap with these little ones.
