1st Grade Christmas Program VIDEO #2 - Christmas Day! (Remake of Weezer's "Beverly Hills")

I rewrote the words to Weezer's "Beverly Hills" for this little ditty.  The kids really enjoyed belting out the lyrics. I think the parents may have enjoyed it a little more.

A couple notes about this song: My wife was in the back so there are a couple things she could not capture on camera.

1.) There is a group of four adorable girls in front of the stage on the right hand side, gathered around a microphone.  They are singing the "gimme, gimme" part that you can hear.
2.) On the left hand side of the stage, there are four boys playing amazing air guitars.

Half way through the song, you will enjoy some extreme air guitars by the entire first grade.

**ALSO: Be sure to check out the first number we performed - "Elves Just Wanna Have Fun" below if you have not yet seen it yet.

So, I give you, "Christmas Day, That's Where I Want To Be!"  Enjoy! (More to come.)

The "gimme gimmes" are my favorite part. We so need to be in the same ward and in charge of all the Christmas party music.

Why can't you get your wife to sit more in the center and closer up? :)

I loved the guitar part!

Great job teacher cheeseboy!

I have watched so many Christmas programs that I refuse to go to them any more. I'll make an exception for yours.
Love how you worked Target into the lyrics! I also thing that someone must have bought out all the hats and sunglasses at the dollar store...

I substituted in kindergarten once. These videos are giving me flashbacks! I was not cut out for teaching little ones. You deserve a medal or something!

I have been going to k-5 Christmas programs for 13 years. If I could be seeing something like these I'd go for the next 13 years. Excellent, awesome and so entertaining. Thank you for sharing.
Take care and have a blessed weekend.

It was so much better live! Awesome job. My husband wants to know if the girls were really squeeking "Abey Baby?! LOL hehe. The program was just excellent. I was dying that my memory cards on my camera ran out of space just before the program ended.

Who would have thought a first grade class would perform such a kickin' song with some new stellar lyrics? Well done good man!

I absolutely loved that! Loved your rendition of the song, of course. That is a fun song to sing along to for adults, but your version is even more fun. I am so impressed those kids memorized all of those words! You are so creative. I'm going to hear "gimme, gimme" in a high-pitched voice in my head for the next 24 hours. Ha!

I'll bet the parents were a bit surprised…and delighted, too.

Rock on, Cheeseboy!

If only you could work this magic with 5th grade band concerts, which are beyond painful.

I feel exhausted just thinking of all the hard work and planning that must have gone into this wonderful production! You guys rock - and you have spade-loads of talent to have orchestrated this, huge cudos, my friend!

Merry Christmas, hope it's wonderful!
