1st Grade Christmas Program VIDEO 1 (Of many to come!)

Now, I know what you're thinking.  Why would I want to see video of your lame old Christmas program, Cheeseboy?  I mean, how many times do I have to watch six-year-olds sing Santa Claus is Coming to Town while standing stone-faced and sad?

Well, well, well.  You have never seen one of OUR Christmas programs.  This is not your normal, boring Christmas program.

So, I've decided to post one video per day.  I shall do this for two reasons 1) I had my wife film it in high def which takes FOREVER to upload to Youtube.  2) I want to stretch this thing out as long as I can and keep my audience begging for more.

Today, for our first installment, I give you "Elves Just Wanna Have Fun".  I rewrote the words to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" to fit our theme.  My wife was filming from the middle of the auditorium and so it is she couldn't film the dancing stars that came forward in the middle of the song.  Hope you enjoy!

(PS: The audience ate this one up.  There was a huge roar when they finished.)

I wish you were my daughter's teacher. They don't do ANYTHING fun!

Awesome! Not as good as the last one you did, it was Queen wasn't it? Gonna have to check it out to see for sure, but Queen will always trump Cindy Lauper! :D

That is just too awesome.

I have never found myself smiling at a children's program before (unless the smiling came with mocking).

Had to say I was dreading watching the video but with nothing better to do, thanks to an hour delay this morning, I clicked on it. This was fun! I especially loved the elf that was standing by herself on the left. My mind went to several reasons why she was by herself but in the end, she stoled the show in my eyes ;o)

Oh Cheese! I love your musicals so much! And of course, the kids are doing the robot! When those kids grow up, they'll be able to tell such tales about their cool first grade teacher/lunch lady.

*giggles* Man, I wish you'd taught at our elementary school. Our kids got to do some cool stuff, but the didn't really have much whimsy to them. This is great!

*bowing to you* I have a first grader (yes, at my age) and her program was turbo lame. This was epic. Go you!

I still remember your group's rendition of "We Are the Champions." Students and parents alike will always remember you!

The only good part of Boo Boo's Christmas program was that Mary didn't show up and the principal said Joseph was a single parent. ;)

Yours was awesome.

And yet, you've got another hit on your hands. I am going to ask for an encore presentation from one of your students on Sunday. At church.

ROAR!!! See? There was even a big roar from your blogging audience over this one, too. That was so, so, so cute! My son will be in first grade next year. I know he'd love to be a part of a show like this one. I REALLY liked how the elves broke out the Sprite. Adorable!!!

You were right--definitely helping with the lack of smiles in Montana---thanx for sharing.
I think what you do by helping these kids make music out of the box deserves an award but it is against my religion to do the whole hero worship thing....
