I don't normally participate in memes, but XmasDolly talked me into this one. I am supposed to share a favorite dance. I'll go with Corky St. Claire's dance scene in my favorite movie of all time, Waiting For Guffman.
Allow me to set up the clip: Corky has been hired to choreograph some dance moves for a local community play. In this scene, he is working it out and breaking it down in his living room.
If you have not seen this movie, there is not 30 seconds that go by that I am not laughing hysterically.
Oh, my! I haven't seen this movie in so long! Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteohh... the pelvis action there is truly disturbing. i've never seen that movie.
ReplyDeleteI've seen clips of it, I definitely got to Netflix it now.

ReplyDeleteWow! Those are some moves! I, too, have not seen the movie. I think I might need to.
ReplyDeleteOops, I first thought this was you disguised as Corky. I thought it was your latest stunt. No? It could be. Then again, you won't be at 500 until next week or so.

Still can't believe that's Jamie Lee Curtis's husband!
ReplyDeleteHe totally stole my moves and made them famous!
ReplyDeleteI can see where Luvpilot learned his moves.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I must watch this movie.
I have never even heard of this movie until now. Thanks for sharing the clip! It looks hysterical!!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this movie! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that movie, but that scene is hysterical!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing in Dolly & my meme... it really made me laugh. I hope you participate all the time.
I'm following you now.
Have a great week.
I forgot all about this. How could I have forgotten?
ReplyDeleteTurns out not only do we have the same musical tastes, we must have the same movie tastes. Anything and everything by Christopher Guest is perfectly brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
ReplyDeletePerhaps we are separated at birth sister and brother. On second thought, forget that, I am pretty much hairless and that's without the waxing.
Never saw the movie and now I'm almost frightened to consider it. But I must say that I indeed did chuckle. Nice!
ReplyDeleteOi! how did I miss this movie? good thing I've got NetFlix now :)
ReplyDeleteHa!! I have never even HEARD of this movie. Isn't that pitiful? Going to my Netflix account now... Okay, not right now. Want to talk about leaps. I definitely enjoyed the leaps. I love leaping of all sorts- Corky St. Claire leaps, split leaps, leap years, Leap Frog, etc. Actually, don't like leap year. Don't get it. Leaving now. I need to go choreograph a dance for a local community college. Ironic, huh?
ReplyDeleteVery entertaining.
ReplyDeleteGreat movie and perfect dance!
ReplyDeleteNope, haven't seen this movie, but that was hysterical. You are so right. I am so going to have to see this movie. Thanks for playing along. You are so an asset to our meme! Hope you'll play along next week. It's your choice next week. Whatever you want to put up to groove by! Ooops! Rock by? Well, whatever they're saying nowadays! That guy looks like my husband trying to dance ROFL HE CAN'T DANCE EITHER! LMAO THANKS AGAIN!
ReplyDeleteThere's no swimmin in my show!!
ReplyDeleteI KNEW that I liked you. Now I know why. We are kindrid Corkies!!!
LURVE this movie, lurve this dance move, love the quotability.
Now, if you'll excuse me.
I'm gonna go home and bite my pillah, that's what I'm gonna do.
So, I just read through your comments. There are a disturbing number of ladies here who have never even :GASP: heard of this movie. This makes my heart hurt. There should be a punishment for such ignorance. I'm just sayin!
ReplyDeleteHHAAAAHHAAAAHAAAAA!!! OMG That is too funny.. he looks like he might be possessed or something!!! lol
ReplyDeleteWhen your title popped up on my blog role, I smiled immediately. Corky St. Clair!!
ReplyDeleteIn keeping with the PG-13 rating, all I can say is "You're B*st*rd people! That's what you are! You're all b*st*rd people!"
:-) GREAT movie.

ReplyDeleteAbe - can we borrow Waiting for Guffman? Josh has never seen it.
ReplyDeleteI would run to Blockbuster and rent this tonight, but I'm sure it's all out since it was "featured" on the Blog O' Cheese! Darn!
ReplyDeleteI have the series (Guffman, Best In Show, Mighty Wind) on DVD. Corky St. Clair is one of my favorite characters in any of them. When he loses it, his anger is hilarious! You....you bastard people! I hate your ass.....face.
ReplyDeleteMy head hurts from laughing! This is up there with Napoleon Dynamites dance moves. Love it!!
