The first day of school is always torture for a First Grade teacher..

Want to know what my first day with the kids was like today, check out this article today by Robert Kirby.

(Unfortunately, I have about 5 "Kirby's" in my class this year.  I already miss my class from last year.)

Now if you will excuse me, I need to go pass out.

    Your school doesn't have air conditioning??? Miserable if so! That's a funny article. What's a teacher's worst nightmare for a student? Nathan really wants his name to be Kirby - like the vacuum - not the "kirby" in the article.

    Thanks for sharing! I wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

    No, I meant to put that we have air conditioning. We use to be a year round school.
